Sean & Anne Sanborn

Sean and Anne have been very involved in the lives of the members of City Gate Church since they moved to ChiangMai Thailand in the year 2000. They have preached on Sundays, taught Bible studies, led teams of youth and adults on outreach in Thailand and China, raised support for ministry and new property purchase, designed a website to sell cards, handled English administration, and been available at all hours for ministry.

Pastor Gampon founded the church in 1993 and it has grown from 20 active members to over 60. Pastor Gampon and his wife Mirjam Kumdee attended a school in Florida (Principles of Redeeming Cultures) in Tampa Florida in 1999 with Sean and Anne. Over the years Sean and Anne have led outreach teams to assist the growth of the church. In 2005, the Kumdee’s oldest son David, at age 4, accidentally drank some hydrochloric acid (Drain-o). To keep him alive the family had to take him to Germany for treatment where his esophagus was removed. During the Pastor’s 6 month absence, Sean stepped into the role of temporary pastor along with Tongkham Temo. Sean and Anne mobilized world wide prayer support which led to dramatic healing in David’s body. David is now almost completely healed.

Sean and Anne believe that this church will be instrumental in raising up and sending out many Thai people into the mission field.
