Discipleship Training School Outreach
The lecture phase of the DTS finished on March 31, and we were proud to send out a fantastic group of young missionaries to South East Asia. So far our team has spent most of their mornings ministering to 200 Myanmar refugees and then in the evenings have been involved in church ministry. At one church, our team performed a new evangelistic drama that they created and over 100 people accepted Jesus into their lives.
Our Crazy Team
Yeshua: New Musical
Ellen and David performed Yeshua (a new musical they’ve written) 5 times at two large churches in Kuala Lumpur. Thousands of people came and the crowds who couldn’t fit in the sanctuaries enthusiastically watched from overflow rooms. During one show, there was a short black out and Sean’s brother David tripped and gashed his eye and leg, but continued performing till the end of the show, ignoring the blood. Afterwards, a famous plastic surgeon stitched him up for free.

Sean teaches on Church Planting
Sean spent the first week of April teaching at the School of Frontier Missions in Jacksonville. It went very well and he is excited to add one more expertise to his repertoire. He taught on Cross Cultural Evangelism and Church Planting. We have observed, over the years, a lot of controversy over whether to use a “Cell Group” or “House Church” structure. We believe these to be 2 wings of an airplane and can explain when to use each approach while maintaining unity. The following week Sean’s dad Art taught at the SOFM.
Wait, how does the skit go again?
Sean helps lead the DTS outreach in Thailand
Next week, Sean will be flying off to Thailand for 6 weeks to lead the DTS team in Phitsanulok with his dad, Art. Meanwhile, Ellen and David will fly back to help Anne with the kids. Please pray for them, as this is the longest that Sean has ever been away from the kids. Also pray that we have another success like last year where our DTS outreach helped our friend Taa to plant a church of a dozen people.
Truck for Sale
While he’s in Thailand, Sean will be selling our 4WD Toyota in order to pay off some medical bills. We love that truck a lot and maybe someday we can buy another one just like it, but for now we need to prioritize. If you are in Thailand and want to purchase it please let us know. It will be available for sale from May 21-29 while Sean is in Chiang Mai.
Best way to travel
Anne's USA Citizenship
Anne has just begun the process of becoming an American Citizen. Special thanks to those who provided the money for this. We tried for her residency once before about 15 years ago but the government lost the paperwork, then later we were forced to revoke her residency status. Not sure how long this is going to take but it may be about 3 years. We have been asked to help lead a DTS in Phitsanulok in 3 years, so our goal is to raise enough support to get back to the mission field by then. Meanwhile, Sean will continue in his role as Director of Training for YWAM Tampa.
We are not totally deprived.
We can eat fried crickets here as well.
Samantha and Timothy
Samantha and Timothy miss Thailand but they are really enjoying being near their grandparents and living out in the woods where they can catch bugs.
Thank you for all your love, prayers and support!
