Back in Florida

Happy New Year!! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year season. We had a wonderful time with Sean's family and enjoyed spoiling the kids with mountains of gifts that were sent from all over the world!

Fun story about God's provision

Recently Sean was able to get back in touch with some of his university friends. We enjoyed a fun lunch beside a pool. Everyone's kids wanted to play outside, so Sean decided to hang out with them and supervise their play. The daughter of one of Sean's schoolmates is now 13 and passionate about missions. They talked for a long time and Sean was glad to have a chance to help give advise to this future world changer. We got to visit again. Then on our third visit with them we heard the miraculous news. This young lady is on the missions committee at her church, and recommended that the church help to support our family. Without even meeting us, they agreed to support us at $100/month. We are once again humbled to see God moving in miraculous and unexpected ways.

Discipleship Training School

So back to what we have been up to.
We arrived in Florida in October and spent about 3 months preparing for the current DTS (Discpleship Training School), with Sean as the Training Director and Anne as the Administrator/Registrar. Sean also had a little time to work on his novel – an exciting Missionary Kid Adventure, set in Thailand. We're hoping the first book of the series it will be published by the end of 2012. Anne has been spending spare time homeschooling and exploring the wonders of Nature with the kids. We are also having a great time teaching a wonderful group of students this year.

Thailand Outreach
In our current roles at YWAM Tampa, we have the opportunity to impact the lives of the Students on a daily basis, through mentoring and discipleship, while also overseeing the academic and visionary direction of the school. This year Sean will lead the DTS Outreach to Thailand for the month of May (the students will be in Malaysia in April). They will build on the work of the 2011 DTS accomplished in Phitsanulok, where God used our team as a catalyst to bear fruit alongside Taa, the YWAM Church Planter, who has labored there for 3 years. Our visit opened the doors for Taa to share with his neighbors and friends and now he is leading a small church of more than 12 believers. He just emailed me and said that he led three more people to the Lord just this week.

US Citizenship
While Sean leads the team to Thailand, Anne will stay back with the kids and begin the process of getting US Citizenship. We must make the application before April, and need to raise a total of $1,500 to submit with the application. After the application is submitted, Anne will need to stay in the USA for at least one year (probably longer) until all the requirements are met. Please keep us in your prayers, that we'll be able to raise the money* in time and have wisdom in completing the documents. Also, please ask the Lord if you are to give towards this application fee.

America is Fun!

While we are in the USA, Sean will continue to work as a Full Time Missionary with YWAM Tampa and YWAM Phitsanulok (Thailand). He will also make periodic trips to Asia in this capacity. Anne will be part time, as she focuses more on nurturing and teaching Timmy and Samantha.
