Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings from soggy Florida. The hurricane season here in Florida reminds us of our home in Thailand during monsoon season. In fact, while we've been away, our carport collapsed under the strain of all the water.
We've been very busy the last couple of months. Sean continues to work on his video and web projects, as well as preaching regularly at Trilby Baptist Church. He has enjoyed getting outside doing maintenance and yard-work at YWAM Tampa and Trilby Baptist. Anne either leads or helps with worship each Sunday at Trilby Baptist. Please keep this church in your prayers as they try to find a permanent senior pastor.
Sean will fly to New York on Saturday the 11th and then visit friends and churches in Virginia and Maryland for a week. His schedule is filling up fast; so if you'd like to see him, please let us know.
Anne and the kids are doing well. Timothy is now 8 weeks old, and was officially taken off his apnea monitor last week. It's nice to be able to hold & carry him without all the leads and machine to carry around. He's a very strong & active little boy. Samantha is adjusting to big sisterhood in a normal way - one minute she's hugging and kissing Timothy, or playing 'Mum' with her baby dolls, and the next she's putting a book on his head so she can read to him.
In September, we will head off to California again. We'll spend about a month at Link Care in Fresno, for a time of debriefing and refreshing. After 10 years on the mission field, we feel it would be good to look back at our successes and failures, and look forward to our future plans before we return to Thailand in 2010. From what we have heard, the schedule is very full, so we will need lots of prayer as we prepare to go and while we are there.
- Please keep praying for us.
- Finances: Since our furlough started, our expenses have increased but our income has decreased. If you know of any churches that would be interested in partnering with us, just let us know.
- Family: Please pray for Samantha. It's been a rough year for her, with so many changes and upheavals. We think that she has coped quite well, but have noticed that she's under considerable stress lately.
- Health: Pray that Anne & Timothy continue to be immune to the flu bugs that Sean and other family members are struggling with.
- Planning: We need to decide soon our plans for 2010. Most importantly, will Sean lead an FM-DTS?, and if so, what do we do about Anne’s immigration status, since she is only here on a tourist visa.
- Travel: Keep Sean in prayer as he travels by plane and car in July and meets with pastors and missions committees in Virginia & Maryland.
God bless,
Sean, Anne, Samantha, and Timothy Sanborn
